Alf Altendorf is a media entrepreneur, media artist & media maker. Since the early 1990s, he has worked at the intersection of art, radio, television, digital media and independent public communication.

As an artist, founder, managing director and project developer, he has helped shape various forms of independent media in Austria – from experimental pirate radio stations and private radio and television projects to today’s community media institutions.

CV & Bio

Long Full Bio & CV (English & German)

His work combines two areas that may initially appear distinct: artistic and media experimentation on the one hand, and the development of professional organisational structures on the other.

This allowed him to combine economic and organisational knowledge with an artistic mind-set, and early on he developed a field of work in which entrepreneurship, art, technology and media intersect.
